Sowing seeds

Tomato seeds of the Tarasenko jubilee variety are sown at the end of March, and the seedlings are planted in a permanent place after 60 days. If you want to plant seedlings in a greenhouse, you can sow the seeds 14 days earlier.

You can make your own soil by mixing 3 parts turf, 2 parts humus, and 1 part wood ash. Warm up the soil in the oven for 1 hour at a temperature of 200 degrees.

Put the seeds in a bag and place for 15 minutes. in a weak solution of potassium permanganate. Next, you can treat the seeds with a growth stimulator Immunocytophyte.

When sowing, make an indent between the seeds in the box of 2 cm, deepen them by 2 cm, dusting with soil. Then pour warm, well-settled clean water from a spray bottle, cover with foil or glass, leave small holes for ventilation. Place the box in a warm room with an air temperature of +25 - 30 ° C.

When the first shoots look out, remove the cover, put the box on a light windowsill. When 2 true leaves appear, dive the seedlings in a 300 ml container. On days without the sun, illuminate the bushes with lamps.

For 14 days before transplanting seedlings to the site, harden them, first taking out 1 2 hours to the balcony, and then - 3 hours 4 hours.

Planting bushes in a permanent place

In autumn, scatter manure and complex mineral fertilizers on the ground, dig up the soil to the depth of a shovel. In the spring, pour the ground with a solution of potassium permanganate, dig it up again.

When 50 - 60 days have passed from sowing seeds, then plant the seedlings in the ground. Dig staggered holes 30 cm deep, 15 cm wide, make an indent between the holes 70 cm.After that, pour hot water into the holes, then wait until the liquid cools. Plant by placing 1 sq. m 3 bushes. If the seedling is too elongated, then place it in the hole at an angle so that it lies. Then water each bush thoroughly.

For the first week after planting seedlings on the site, do not water it. Then tie up the tomatoes. Drive in the pegs, keeping a distance of 3 m between the stakes, put stretchers at the top. Stretch the wire in several rows between the pegs and tie the bushes. Loosen the soil the day after watering or rain. Leave 1 - 2 stems, cut off the rest. Tear off stepchildren up to 4 cm every 10 days. Tear off 2 - 3 lower leaves every 10 days.

Water after the top layer of the earth has dried, pour warm and well-settled water under the root in the evening, trying not to get on the leaves. Water once every 10 to 14 days. Loosen the soil after watering and rains. Weed plantings 3-4 times per season.

For the prevention of fungal diseases, treat tomatoes 3 times per season with preparations with copper. Inspect the bushes from time to time, pull out weeds.

Feed the seedlings with nitrogen only until mid-summer. When 14 days have passed after planting the seedlings, fertilize with phosphorus so that good roots grow and it starts growing. When the tomatoes bloom, feed with potassium.

To form the bushes correctly when they are 1.5 - 1.7 m high, pinch the top. In addition, pluck off the hands that have not set fruit. The first bunches can weigh up to 3 kg, so tie them up.

Since tomatoes ripen unevenly and at the same time, they are removed immature: the fruits ripen after storage.

“I planted seeds of the Tarasenko Jubilee tomato variety from the Sedek company. Seedlings were grown in the open field. I form the bushes into one stem, I cut off the rest. I cover the seedlings with foil until June 25, and then remove it. Tomatoes are very tasty - they have a thin skin that does not crack when salted, the flesh is fleshy. "
